Competitive Edge Designs, Inc. is a product development company located in Grand Rapids, MI. Since 1994, CEDI has specialized in contract design and development services. We have provided services for the office furniture, medical, automotive, and consumer products industries. We have designed parts for injection molding, blow molding, rotocast, vacuum forming, pressure forming, diecasting, roll forming, stamping, extruding, conventional sheetmetal forming, machining, and powdered metal processes.

CEDI chose the Pro/ENGINEER family of integrated products as our 3D CAD solution. The parametric and associative properties of the industry leading design tool provide us with the power and flexibility required to meet the demands of our clients. We have extensive experience with solid modeling, advanced surfacing, sheetmetal, behavioral modeling, advanced assembly, as well as the data management solution Pro/Intralink.

In 1999, CEDI expanded our in house capabilities to include prototype services. We currently have (4) 3-axis CNC milling centers in house as well as traditional model making tools such as knee mill, lathe, mig and tig welder, band saw, table saw and a wide assortment of hand tools. We can provide prototype parts or complete prototype product solutions.
